At LB Music School, we help students confidently learn to play the songs they know and love. We help them rediscover the joy of music through our customized guitar lessons in Medford or Danvers.
Our music school doors are open to adults, teens and children ages 7 & up who have always wanted to learn to play guitar whether it's to play at home, at church or with family and friends.
We help students reach their goals even in they have absolutely zero experience with the guitar.
As a matter of fact, we LOVE beginners!
Guitar Lessons For Kids
For children, we recommend starting guitar lessons around the age of 7 or 8.
The reason?
It can be very hard for young finger to press the strings to make enough sound. We find most students have the proper strength and ability between the ages of 7 and 8.
If you have a younger child that REALLY wants to play a stringed instrument, we highly recommend starting at a younger age (5 or 6) with ukulele lessons.
As usual, our guitar teachers will try to keep lessons fun and motivating by hand selecting music your child enjoys playing on the guitar while also teaching the foundational elements of music education.
We do have optional recitals twice a year for guitar students to participate in.
